Palabras tan simples como “LLY, Condo, Compaq SKY_FOX” son las claves mas comunes para saltarse el password puesto por el usuario en muchos de los vios mas comerciales:

How to Bypass BIOS Passwords
BIOS passwords can be add extra layer of security for desktop and laptop computers, and are used to either prevent a user from changing the BIOS settings or to prevent the PC from booting without a password. BIOS passwords can also be a liability if a user forgot their passwords, or if a malicious user changes the password. Sending the unit back to the manufacturer to have the BIOS reset can be expensive and is usually not covered in an a typical warranty. However, there are a few known backdoors and other tricks of the trade that can be used to bypass or reset the BIOS password on most systems.
Backdoor PasswordsMany BIOS manufacturers have provided backdoor passwords that can be used to access the BIOS setup in the event you have lost your password. These passwords are case sensitive, so you may wish to try a variety of combinations.
WARNING: Some BIOS configurations will lock you out of the system completely if you type in an incorrect password more than 3 times. Read your manufacturers documentation for the BIOS setting before you begin typing in passwords.

bueno yo lo encontre hoy ! pues ni me di cuenta que lo habias puesto vos! asi que te voy a poner de referencia aunque lo encontre en digg no se me sulfure puta!

regresando al tema del post, ke tonto ke algunas claves sean de lo mas obvio como la marca del fabricante.. o aun peor CMOS

una pregunta ps si una persona pone la clave en la bios, osea cuando inicio windows o cualquier otro sistema operativo salta la pantallita negra donde pide password hasta para entrar en el setup eso como romper si me olvide no me acuerdo la clave no me digan probando nombres, ni sacando la pila por el estilo sin mover hardware ok alguien tiene la respuesta. ps avisame gerh20@hotmail.com

Hola, yo tambine quisiera saber la respuesta a la pregunta que hace killerleo, como hago para saltar o dejar de lado la clave esa que aparece en una pantalla negra, que ni te permite entrar al SETUP. gracias por su respuesta.
